Debra Lynn is one of Maui's premiere singers, performing Classical to Pop.  Debra Lynn's latest inspirational CD project is Heaven in Your Heart, produced with award-winning arranger and engineer, Joel Katz at Seaside Recording on Maui.  This exciting new work will soft launch in Honolulu at Unity Church of Hawaii, September 14th.

Ms. Lynn is completing two book projects, one called "So You Think You Can't Sing" for beginners or those who have had someone in their life criticize them and their quality of sound.  It is a cutting edge approach for anyone whose first language is Americanized English.  Her second project is a memoir of the journey she has experienced with her own real-life Lancelot, called Path to Camelot

Debra Lynn trained as a Coloratura in the Italianate Art of Bel Canto "Beautiful Singing".  Maui's premiere Soprano studied extensively with Maestro Edward Sayegh of Los Angeles and has her Bachelors in Voice Performance from FSU and the College of Charleston.  Continuing  Operatic studies  in Europe, Debra combined her love of Musical Theater with the more traditional Classical Repertoire.  Now residing on Maui, Ms. Lynn was integral in forming Maui Civic Light Opera (MCLO) and Maui Musical Theater Workshop.

Seen on the stage of the Maui Arts and Cultural Center singing "Libiamo" , "All I Ask of You" and "Make Your Garden Grow" with husband/Baritone, Jerry Eiting in Opera Rocks 2007!  She has sung Handel's Messiah, Orff's Carmena Burana and Vivaldi's Gloria.  On the lighter side, she has performed the roles of Guinevere, Cinderella and Christine in MCLO & MAPA's Co-Production of Maury Yeston's Phantom.

Look for Debra this Holiday Season, as she once again sings the Messiah with Maui Arts Chorale on Friday, December 19th and at the Iao Theater, December 21st with MCLO's annual Christmas program.

Many of Ms. Lynn's students are accomplished performers in entertainment venues and Master Degree Programs throughout the United States. Debra was a 2001 winner of the Hawaii Public Radio Annual Art Song Competition here in HawaiiSince then her studio has had one winner per year.  This year four semi-finalists out of 55 entrants and 2 Finalists are from Ms. Lynn's vocal studio.  Leighanna Edwards and Sarah Oppenheim-Beggs will be performed in Atherton Hall, at the University of Hawaii on September 8th, 2007 with three other winners.

Whether it is a book, a concert, a voice lesson or a wedding, Debra Lynn brings her special love, compassion and heart to everything she does.  Look for Heaven in Your Heart this fall at Amazon.com, CDBaby and Borders Books.  Aloha!
